Hello!
My name is Tracy Bell. I am Florida native that just got back home! I have been a military wife for 20 years. My husband Steve and I have recently become empty nesters. Our two children have ventured out on their own and are doing well. We have lived in Ohio for the past thirteen years and getting back down south has been a great move for us. We have been enjoying the weather and the beautiful beach here in Panama City. We have access to the beach through the Air Force Base and it is a fantastic and beautiful place to enjoy the sounds of the ocean crashing on shore, the smell of the salt in the air and the feeling of the soft white sand beneath our feet. We take long walks on the beach and easily get caught up in nature and the interesting sights we see along the way and we take photos like crazy people that have never had a camera before.
I am also an artist. I remember being in second grade art class and learning about the color wheel. I thought it was the most amazing thing I had ever heard. You could mix red and blue to get purple? Wow!! My little brain was turned on and paying full attention. I loved art class. The smells of crayons, clay, paint and paper were so exciting to me and still are.
For some reason through the years of school art was not a focus for me. It was lost along the way. In 1998 I decided to take a college art course for Color Theory and suddenly everything changed for me. Since then I have discovered so many art forms that I love. I have tried acrylic painting, quilting, costume design, drawing, pottery, sculpture, book binding, paper crafts, photography, mixed media collage, digital scrapbooking, digital art and web design...whew!
I always thought maybe all of the different experiences would accumulate into one form of art that would suit me and express who I am and now I believe that it will be this website where I can share whatever artwork and adventures I have along the way in this new phase of my life.
Thanks for stopping by!
