March 3, 2008 Great Blue Heron
Here are few photos of a Great Blue Heron that I encountered next to the boardwalk on my way to the beach. He was very close and I was very nervous taking these photos, but I felt so lucky to have the opportunity so I tried to remain calm even as he took steps towards me and I was sure to thank him when I left! I believe this is an immature Great Blue Heron which I learned on Wikipedia.
