The birds are gonna get me

I have never been afraid of birds, but the more I learn about them the more cautious I am starting to feel. Especially after my experience yesterday. Today Steve walked with me to the beach and as we were going down the boardwalk another big bird started circling over my head. He was high up and Steve said he was probably just scanning the ground for food. Yeah, well I'm on the ground and I don't want to be the food!
Towards the end of the boardwalk we came across a Red Wing Blackbird. They are very common and I see them all of the time during my walks. I think they look so striking and I always try to get a photo, but they quickly take off before I can get close enough. But today, this one stayed in one place and I was able to get pretty close to it to get some good shots. He was a brave one! After I got home and did a little research about the bird I found out that during breeding season they will attack other birds and sometimes large animals AND HUMANS! What do you think? Does he look mad? Look at those claws! I think he might be giving me the finger. Which I will take over being attacked any day.
